Time Marches on....

Well it is August and you know what that means...time for my once a month update.    Can you believe that it is August already?  I can't!  Time just keeps flying by.  I never know where it goes.

I guess to say the least, it has been a bizarre summer. I tell ya.  My most exciting events have been in the last week.  So last Friday, Lake County, Painesville area to be exact had a little over 10 inches of rain!  So, you can take a guess of what happened.  That's right, a flood!  I can't even begin to explain what that was like.  I was down at the river with my boyfriend's parents.  They have a boat there.  Oh my goodness, everything was such a mess.  There were areas that were up to my chest.  I saw several boats break away, smash into other boats, you would hear these lines snapping, not to mention the noise of them crashing into other boats.  I can't even begin to tell you how many trees I saw floating down the insane currents of the river.  It was so terrible.  I've never seen anything like this before.  And I hope I don't again.  It was kind of nerve racking to be there.  A few times we had to go through the water, and all I could say to myself was that I was so happy that I had strong legs or I would have been taken away so easily.

But things are beginning to get cleaned up, and my boyfriend's parents were a few of the fortunate ones.  Thankfully for them.  Others will be cleaning for a long time as their homes and such were ruined.

But if that isn't exciting enough, the following Monday, evening that is, Chardon, Munson, and a few other areas lost power, due to something eletrical catching fire.  Now, I've been without power before, but we you lose it for close to 24 hours and it is 96 degrees outside, it is a bit of a problem.  And because I was unable to work, I decided spending a lot of the day in my car where I could access air conditioning.  But I was good and made a trip to the doctors to get my back put in place.

On the brighter side however, I have a job for the following year!  Initially, I was psyched about getting into a public schools, but due to circumstances, I've had to look else where, and what I have ended up with is a job at the Andrew's School in Willoughby.  I just got my offical call today!  I'm actually really looking forward to it.  I'm going to be a supervisor of the resident area, and it sounds like I will get to coach and sub!  I'm really excited.  I get great perks with this position.  I think that this job will be an excellent experience.

Brad and I are also doing quite well.  I just love him so much!  We've been together a little over 10 months now and it is great!  Although, I'm pretty sure that he is a little bummed about my new job.  Don't get me wrong, he is happy that I have found something, however, we are going to go from seeing each other everyday to seeing each other once a week or so.  So that will be tough, but we will manage as always.

Oh you never know what life might throw at you.....

Yet again, it has been a long time since I've updated this wonderful site.  Needless to say, I have been really busy and went through several changes.

I guess first and foremost, I'm an offical college graduate!  Yay!  It was such a good feeling to walk across that stage and know that I'm done...well at least for a little bit.  But, it was great!  Before I reached that point though, I finished up my student teaching and became ill with mono.  Not such a fun sickness.  I would be very happy if I never had that again.   But anywho, because of that stupid mono, I had to post-pono taking my Praxis 2 tests.  Hopefully after this summer is done, they will be completely over with until I have to take more exams. Education Majors...Never are you finished.

However, now it is summer.  At the very beginning of the summer I was staying with my friend Emily and I was working at the dance and gymnastics studio.  I really loved my job there.  About a month in, I moved out of Emily's and I moved up to Chardon due to another prospective job.  Well, I decided to not take the job, I didn't like all the guidelines that went along with it.  I also didn't know if I would be able to fulfill the contract that I would have to sign.  So to place it safe I had to say no.

While I loved working at the gymnastic and dance studio, I unfortunatley had to leave due to the variable work hours.  Throughout the week, I would work either mornings, afternoons, or evening the varied day by day and week to week.  The hours made it difficult to have another job, which wasn't a big deal when I was working 30-40 hours a week.  However, when almost all the personnel at the studio took an hour cutback...it made it completely unreasonable to stay. Granted I recieved a raise, however it still would barely break even with the gas for driving to and from there twice a day.  To show you how redicilous it was...I went from 35 hours a week to 8!  Crazy huh?  So I left there.

However, with some luck, the office that my boyfriend works at, which is an engineer and survey company needed a temporary secretary and his boss likes me...and wouldn't you know, I have another job.  Here I work 40 hours a week which is nice and I only have a 6 minute maybe 10 minute drive to work depending on traffic.  So far, I like the job.  I'm either really busy though, or bored out of my mind.  Just depends on the day.

Speaking of my boyfriend, he is wonderful.  He has been so helpful and postive about EVERYTHING!  I seriously couldn't ask for anything better.  And no, that's not me doing the whole girly, I think I like someone thing.  I love him.  Without a doubt.  This is the one thing I'm truly certain of.

Well, it is 5pm and now I'm done with work, thus, I'm done with this update.  Stay tunned for more, probably tomorrow.

Wow!  It certainly has been a long time since I've written on here.  But for all those who have kindly reminded me to update this several times, I think you can leave me alone about updating for at least a couple weeks.   Well, where to begin.  Obviously there is a lot of new updates, since I've failed to maintain this site.

First and for most, I graduate in MAY!!!! YAY!  I'm absolutely thrilled, in case you can't tell.  I'm sure May will be here before I know it.  Currently I'm student teaching at Crestwood Middle School.  Overall, I like it...however it does have its frustrating times.  You'll have that any place you go though.  One thing for sure is, it has given me a lot of experience.

I'm still holding my RA's position here in Fletcher Hall.  It is going well also.  I have a great floor of girls!  I've had a few programs already, and a few more to come.  There is going to be a "Got Skillz 2" program towards the end of the semester that Maurice and I will be doing.  It is going to be a way for individuals, bands, my dance team and any others who want to participate to showcase their talents.  There will be food and drinks...so all of you should be looking forward to this. I promise it will be a great time!

My dance team is also doing a wonderful job!  My team actually just performed at the KSU women's basketball game on February 25, 2006!  I actually just found out that it was televised as well.  They did a great job!  I'm so proud of all of them. If you weren't there you missed out.  However, if you did miss it, don't worry, there will be other performances...so stayed tunned!

I'm also still working at the hotel in Kent.  However, I will be finishing up there towards the end of April because I'm going to be coaching at a new gymnasium that is opening up at the end of April!  I'm very excited!  So I'll be probably be doing that for the summer as well as hanging out with my sisters and taking them to Cedar Point.  Along with spending time with my sisters, I'm hoping to spend a decent amount of time with my friends and of course out on the lake with my boyfriend.

Speaking of my boyfriend, I would just like to say that I have the best boyfriend in the world!  I'm seriously, without a doubt, the luckiest girl on this earth.  I feel so blessed and I cherish every moment that I get to spend with him.  You should see and hear some of the things he has done for me.  There was this one time over break that I got pretty sick.  And do you know what he did for me?  He not only made me oatmeal and kept getting me water and offering to do everything else under the sun...he also stayed by me the entire time checking up on me and making sure I was okay.  I can't even begin to tell you how much that meant to me.  For Valentine's day he took me to a spa, and to dinner and then got me flowers and chocolates!  He definitely spoiled me.  Now, I'm not going to lie, I absolutely loved it.  However, just getting to see him that day and getting a hug from him, is all that I ever needed.  I just love getting to be around him.  But along with those two things that I've told you about, he also will randomly email me, and IM me to let me know he's thinking about me.  He will also just randomly swing by after his classes on Mondays to see me.  How sweet is that?  He is just absolutely amazing....no, he's perfect.  Now I'm sure he would beg to differ...but trust me, I'm right on this one.  Can you tell that I love him?  Because I do.  There isn't anything I dont' love about him.

I wish there was a way that I could explain how much I feel for him, but it is hard to find the words to do it.  He definitely means the world to me.  Actually, here is a way to kind of explain it.  This might sound pathetic, but he means so much to me that I hate not getting to be around him  Now granted, I can't spend a lot of time with him because of my insanly busy schedule, and he's busy as well...but I wish I could see him more.  And when I get to spend time with him, it is always amazing, but the time always comes when we have to part for the week.  Not a big deal right?  On the contratry.  It is so hard for me to say bye.  And I HATE having to watch him leave.  It breaks my heart.  Actually, sometimes I struggle to hold back my tears.  So do I sound pathetic?  I can't help it.  I just love him so much and when he's not around I feel like something is missing.

Well, I need to get going!

Hello again.  I would have to say that I'm terrible about updating this regularly!  Hopefully I'll get better with it...but I'm just very busy.  Well, classes as well as the RA stuff is going. I'm out in the field now.  I really like it.  I'm in a junior high.  It definitely has it's entertaining moments, but overall I do enjoy it.  The newest thing to tell is that I have my own dance team now.  Oh my gosh, I love to instruct, and I'm thrilled that I have completely done this myself!  The girls I have are great.  So far I have a hip-hop and jazz team.  The hip-hop team is dancing to "caught up" and the jazz team is dancing to "shut up".  I'm also working on a dance to "Don't Cha".  I can't wait to start teaching that!  It is going to be so much fun!  And I'm recruiting some guys to dance with us on it! But yeah, the dance team has taken up the majority of the "free time" I did have.

Oh!  I totally got to go Jet Skiing! If any of you haven't done this, you NEED to!  It was so exilerating!  I had the time of my life!  I actually think that I might like that more than four-wheeling!  I was so excited I got to go!  I was sore the next morning...but it was totally worth it!

Overall, I would have to say that things are going rather well! I'm just really busy the majority of the time.  I was excited that I didn't have anything that I was obligated to this weekend!  I found stuff to do, but it was great not being expected to be somewhere for a change.  Well all, Have a good one!

Hey ya'll!  Wow...Two weeks of school is done with already! And now the real work begins.  Things have been going rather well.  Very busy, but well.  I'm excited that I got my placement for field experience, but I'm rather disappointed that it is at least 25 minutes or more away.  I'm not liking that, especially with the wonderful gas prices.   But, it will be a good experience, so I need to suck it up and take it.  Lets see...what else is new?  I've had the chance to get out!  That has been nice.  I've really enjoyed getting to meet new people while getting off campus.  I've got to do a lot of dancing as well!  That has been fun!  But I miss my girl Elise!  She is the greatest dance partner ever!  Speaking of dancing...I went to the Dusty on Wednesday!  Oh wow!  That was soo much fun! I had a blast.  I just want to learn the rest of the line dances now!

I do think I'm going to get going though!  I have an early morning!  I'm going home to see the family and to do some four-wheeling!!  I'm excited!
